I am an environmental geologist with the URS Corporation and manage the Environmental Geosciences Division that serves the Inland Empire. I assist clients during their property transactions to provide them with an understanding of the environmental risks associated with property development or redevelopment. Our work includes performing due diligence assessments and environmental site investigations as well as liaison with the regulatory agencies. I am both a California Professional Geologist and a Certified Engineering Geologist and have worked in Southern California for more than 21 years. My primary work has been to manage national, statewide, and regional environmental programs, and oversee a wide range of contaminant investigation and remediation projects. During this time, I have also performed geotechnical site investigations and engineering geological evaluations for commercial and residential development projects throughout the region. My firm, the URS Corporation, is one of the largest engineering design firms worldwide and executes large and complex engineering projects, providing a full range of environmental and engineering professional and technical services to private and public sector clients. This is my second year with IRWA and I look forward to serving as the Chairman of the Environmental Committee for a second year as well. I am excited about meeting and developing relationships with the members of our Chapter and learning more about the broad range right-of-way issues.
