I have been employed by the Riverside County Transportation Commission since 1988. RCTC is the planning and programming agency for transportation in Riverside County. I began as a receptionist and moved into the accounting department. In 1994, I was promoted to Property Agent for the agency. Born and raised in Riverside, I had the privilege of associating with political leaders within the City. This sparked my interest in serving in local government. I moved to northern California in 1970 where I married and had two wonderful sons. My husband and I owned and operated Chico Air & Ambulance Service for 10 years. In 1982, we moved to New Orleans, LA, where we continued to work with the hospital emergency rooms. We moved back to Riverside in 1984 and enjoyed the opportunity of raising my sons while serving as a school board member and professional volunteer. My education background is in emergency medicine, graphic communication and interior design. Now working in the public sector, I have been provided the opportunity for growth, both personally and professionally. I have been a member of the International Right of Way Association since 1995. This association has provided me avenues to network and study the skills of the management of public land. In 1998, I became a member of the IRWA Board, where I have helped organize opportunities to create revenue for the education of the Association. |
