I am currently working with Epic Land Solutions, in the Relocation field. Up until 2007, I was a paralegal with the Litigation Department of Best Best & Krieger LLP, and I worked exclusively with the Eminent Domain practice group.  Best Best and Krieger provides assistance to public agency clients in all phases of acquisition and condemnation.  I helped to provide client service in the way of preparation of pre-condemnation offers, gathering appraisals, drafting resolution of necessity documents and supporting the litigation process, including drafting litigation pleadings and extensive case management (service and tracking of party defendants, assisting with preparing attorneys for court hearings).  Best Best and Krieger also offers assistance to clients with settlements through negotiated purchase, as well as acquisition through the full condemnation process. 

I have worked in law firms in the states of Louisiana, North Dakota, Ohio and California.  I have a strong defense background and have worked in mass tort litigation as part of the nationwide asbestos litigation and water rights cases in Ohio and California, respectively. 

I am a past associate member of the Columbus Bar Association; a past member of Legal Assistants of Central Ohio, the Orange County Paralegal Association (California) and Inland Counties Association of Paralegals (California), have served as the President-Elect and am currently serving as President of the International Right of Way Association, Chapter 57.

I have enjoyed learning about the IRWA, its purpose and its functions at the chapter level, as well as the regional and international levels.  I was asked to chair the Legal Liaison committee, and when the chapter Secretary relinquished the chair because of other commitments, I was moved into that position and have served as Treasurer and President-Elect.  I look forward to serving the chapter in the coming year as President.
